Disques YUL Records & Management is proud to announce it has signed Artist and Singer-Songwriter Derek Falls from Montreal.

“Derek is the new sound of YUL Records” says Marc Demouy “His unique big sound that incorporates Classical, Jazz, Blues, Rock and R&B elements is what sold me. In fact it’s hard to pin down the exact genre of music which is for sure Pure POP but sways between its blues/rock origins and a more contemporary soulfully hip sound.

My attention was drawn to this artist by Johnny Vegas, friend and gifted guitarist/band leader who is the driving force behind the Derek Falls BAND.” Derek is the son of Montreal Rhythm & Blues legend Tommy Falls Jr, and grandson of guitarist Tommy Falls Sr., Derek is 3rd generation pure heart of Soul.

 Derek’s first offering “NO MORE LIES” will be issued as a CD Single YUL CDS 10
and as an extended 12 inch vinyl limited edition 12YUL10. This emotional ballad has an enormous string section featuring members of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra and will set the for stage for this remarkable new artist’s forthcoming full length CD and LP “ALL IS FORGIVEN” YULP 2

“NO MORE LIES” was produced by Derek Falls and masterfully engineered by Remi Tanguay at Hummm Studio Montreal this March 2009 and is scheduled for release on Aug 4th 2009.
